Questions we get asked.

Will you repair a roof rather than replace it?
Where repair is the honest answer, yes. A roof with years left in it does not need replacing, and we will tell you which one you have.
Do you handle roof items on a point of sale list?
Yes, and usually alongside the rest of the list rather than as a separate visit.

More on roofing

A roof is the cheapest problem to fix and the most expensive one to ignore. Water that gets past it does not stay in the attic. It finds framing, plaster, insulation and eventually the finishes somebody just paid for.

We do full tear offs and replacements, and we do repair where repair is the honest answer. A roof with eight good years left does not need replacing because somebody wants to sell you a roof, and we will say so.

Flashing is where most roofs actually fail. Chimneys, valleys, vents and wall junctions leak long before a field of shingles gives out, and they are the items that turn up on inspection reports. Getting the detail right at those junctions is most of the difference between a roof that lasts and one that does not.

Roof items appear on point of sale violation lists regularly, and roofs are a standard line on a rehab budget. Either way it is usually one part of a larger job for us rather than a standalone visit.

Tell us about the job.

We will come and look at no charge to you, with no obligation either way. That includes a property you have not closed on yet.
